FBI: Season 1 (2018)

Critic Consensus: Dick Wolf's new series sports a compelling cast and adrenaline-spiking spectacle, although some viewers may find this retread of the mega-producer's previous procedural formulas overly familiar.

Critic Reviews for FBI Season 1

All Critics (23) | Top Critics (9)

FBI moves swiftly and sometimes graphically through its earth-shaking opening investigation, adding and dropping suspects in a familiar pattern that nonetheless seems fresh and certainly isn't dull.

Don't worry, Rest of the Country: New York is seething with lots of tensions, racial and otherwise, but it's a hell of a lot nicer - and more interesting, beautiful and exciting - than portrayed in FBI's pilot.

Unfortunately for viewers who don't like their dialogue spoon-fed to them, she also says things like, "Isn't that place the crème de la crème of the white supremacy movement?"

The perfect formula is there. 'FBI' has the rubric and in order to have longevity, it needs to figure out how it can be different from its predecessors and contemporaries.

The elements included in this show are exactly what I need to see more of on my television shows!

Sep 26, 2018 | Rating: 5/5 | Full Review…

FBI is meant to churn out content as quickly and consistently as possible, regardless its characters' personal histories or proclivities. In that regard, the show is as impressively reliable as its remarkably unremarkable.
