News & Interviews for Supernatural: Season 10
The season lost a lot of favor early on... It was fun while it lasted.
The really scary thing about Supernatural is that it's still hitting on all creepy cylinders, roaring down the back roads of our imagination. It not only remains creatively fresh, it continues to attract new viewers.
Black raised many more questions than it cared to answer, which is infuriating after waiting all hellatus for info, but also exciting, because I have no idea WTF is happening and in for a 10-year-old show that's very, very awesome.
It's not that the bravado and new hairstyle aren't a little bit of a turn-on, but darned it if the elder Winchester didn't break our hearts with some of his callous demon behavior.
After watching the premiere a second time, I'd say it blew all of my expectations out of the water.
Audience Reviews for Supernatural: Season 10
Season 10 of Supernatural begins with a lot of promise, but in the end it proves to be fairly run-of-the-mill; delivering the usual monster-of-the-week adventures. Continuing the Mark of Cain story arc from last season, Sam attempts to turn Demon-Dean back into a human and remove the mark; meanwhile Crowley's long-lost mother (a powerful witch) returns and attempts to manipulate and destroy Crowley and the Winchesters. However, while these story arcs are exciting and full of intrigue, they're poorly developed and get lost among the weekly hunts for werewolves, shapeshifters, vampires, etc. Still, there are a couple of Castiel episodes that are quite powerful. And, the series passes the rare Episode 200 milestone with the incredibly fun episode "Fan Fiction"; which brilliantly satirizing the show as a high school musical. After ten seasons Supernatural has kind of done it all and the returns are diminishing, yet it still tells a compelling story of two brothers' fight against the forces of darkness.
